About Rick's Truck and Equipment

Rick’s Auto Sales Inc of Kenton Ohio was established in 1994 by Rick Whitaker. With the help of Rick’s father Charles Whitaker ‘The Little Lot That Will Save You A lot’ Started out selling used cars on a gravel parking lot with 4x4 wood light poles. Rick’s Auto Sales served the town of Kenton for many years as the highest volume dealer of used cars.

The business grew substantially upgrading to blacktop & began selling used rollbacks. Rick’s Auto Sales eventually established a tow truck distributorship for new trucks & begin Rick’s Truck & Equipment a Division of Rick’s Auto Sales Inc.

The business relocated to the west side of Kenton Ohio where the truck building facility & retail sales are next door to each other. Every tow truck is now custom built in-house by an experienced team of installers. Zane Whitaker 4th generation started out as a builder in 2021 and is now in rollback wrecker sales.

Rick retired at the end of 2023 and sold the business to his son C.J. Whitaker who has worked for the dealership since 1995.
Rick's Auto Sales Inc is proud to be the premier auto repair facility in Hardin County with ASE certified mechanics along with an incredible amount of equipment & technology to take care of all repair needs.
Rick's Truck & Equipment is proud to be a Jerr-dan distributor & custom builds Jerr-dan wreckers & rollbacks. Jerr-dan parts, chains, straps, lights, etc are all available through Rick's Truck & Equipment Parts Department.
